2. US Field Application Scientist

To accommodate for fast-growing demand in the US market, we are looking for a Massachusetts-based Field Application Scientist.
This is a unique opportunity for being part of establishing the new gold standard for biomolecular analysis. Our Fida 1 instrument enables full in-solution quantitative, functional characterization and quantification of biomolecules and particles directly in plasma, serum, cell lysate, fermentation media, etc., above and beyond any other technology.

We need more resources to support the growing number of customers in the US and to work with Sales in delivering proofs-of-concept to interested prospects. Fida Biosystems is a small, dynamic, multi-disciplinary team of biochemists, pharmacists, business developers etc., who are all deeply engaged in showing researchers the way to better and more reliable data.

Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Present and demonstrate the technologies to customers
  • Manage assigned customer demonstrations and validations in close collaboration with sales
  • Develop, optimise and document new FIDA applications
  • Perform instrument installations and customer training
  • Post-sales assay development and application support to customers
  • Instrument service and troubleshooting
  • Develop scientific marketing material, including scientific publications, application notes etc.

Requirements include:

  • PhD / MSc. in pharmacy, biophysics, molecular biology or biochemistry with experience in biological assay/methodology development in an academic or industrial laboratory
  • Experience in experimental design of studies for quantification and characterization of proteins based on a solid understanding of protein interactions
  • Experience in / knowledge of drug development
  • Excellent presentation and customer interaction skills
  • Good project management skills
  • Able to work effectively under pressure to meet scheduled deadlines and handle multiple activities simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and motivated by working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary and dynamic setting.
  • Independent yet still a real team-player.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English.
  • Ability to travel when required (up to 75%)
  • Required residence and work permit in the US
